Mike "NUKE" Linskey
One of the most dynamic baseball instructors in the country was drafted out of Baltimore's Loyola Blakefield HS but chose to pursue his degrees when he was recruited by James Madison University where he was DRAFTED again. This time by his hometown Team the Baltimore Orioles.
Mike is a native from Baltimore Maryland who has been living in Houston Texas since 1998. He attended James Madison University and graduated with a major in Sports Management and minor in coaching with background in Kinesiology and Physiology. He is married with two children.
Mike has an extensive baseball background playing high school, division 1 ball, and 7 seasons of professional baseball with the Baltimore Orioles and San Diego Padres as a left handed pitcher. He has played every level of professional baseball from A, AA, AAA, and 40 man roster. In 1989 he won the prestigious Baltimore Oriole Minor League Pitcher of the Year Award. After finishing his career in 1995 he moved his passion into coaching his level of knowledge to his students and parents to aid in their success in the game. He coaches all aspects of the game with private, group, or team lessons.
Mike’s coaching style puts emphasis on drills and biomechanics to control the learning environment along with videos and measurements to track player’s progressions. This is what attracted him to Top Velocity 3X pitching program. “Data beats opinions”, he states when summarizing 3X pitching program. He feels the ole school way of coaching has not caught up with today’s technology. Top Velocity meets this demand and builds a program from the bottom up on how to reach your peak performance.
Mike believes that measurements and video is essential in today’s coaching. The speed of the game must be slowed down by video to truly understand how to make our correction to improve performance. Also the visual cues from the player watching themselves improves the learning curve drastically.
Our kids are lucky to have an opportunity like this one! If you want to be an elite player, then you will be there on Nov 24th at the Q.

Chief Wolfe will go over all the things umpires are looking for from Catchers as well as, how catchers can help their pitchers get strikes. They both will go over the most overlooked techniques and rules, by players and coaches alike, that could enhance your game. Catchers will finish the session by catching bullpens with an umpire behind them calling balls and strikes and advising the players. Gonna be a great Catchers Clinic by 2 of the Best in the Business!
